Black Designer Taffeta Apron & Double Chocolate Apple Pie Recipe

This last weekend I had a huge craving for chocolate, apples, cinnamon and pretty much everything that would go into a caramel apple or an apple pie so I decided to combine everything together to make a double chocolate, cinnamon sugar and caramel drizzle apple pie.  Holy crap it is amazing!  Unfortunately I didn’t find an apron with pies on it, but for something this amazingly decadent, you need something amazing which is why I fell in love with this almost couture looking black designer taffeta black apron for women.

Designer Black Taffeta Apron for Women – $33.95

Even if you hate baking, getting to wear something as gorgeous as this designer black taffeta apron for women will make you feel like a fashion model, even if you have flower all over your face and hands.  I don’t thin anyone could resist the patterns and ruffles on this designer black apron and no one who would want to look like a perfect Stepford wife serving a perfect pie would be caught dead without this gorgeous designer black apron for women. Here’s why I love this designer black taffeta womens apron.
1.  The neck and waist straps are wide enough to create fabulous looking bows that you can tie in the back or across the front or on the side to show off any figure and look fabulous.
2.  The neck and waist straps features a fabulous polka dot design that perfectly helps them stand out and create a fade of the patterns that makes this design black apron look like it is actually couture.
3.  There are two separate rows of ruffled patterns that outline the perfect figure from any shape on any person.  I love how thy pulled off taking the polka dots from the neck and waist straps and used it to create a ruffled outline below the patterned ruffle from the main fabric and pattern.
4.  The black taffeta design and print on the main apron is gorgeous.  It is absolutely high end and makes this black designer apron absolutely amazing.
5.  The pocket on this apron is actually on the side and acts like a real pocket.  Instead of getting in the way or stabbing you like front pockets can when you are holding spoons and other tools, this pocket is on the side and helps to keep them out of the way when you are putting things in and taking things out of the oven or off the stove or grill.

Double Chocolate, Cinnamon and Caramel Drizzle Apple Pie Recipe.

This is super easy to make and even more amazing to eat.  I made the same simple to make pie crust from last weeks strawberry and rhubarb pie found here.  Then once I had my crust ready and lined in the pie pan, without baking it at all, I started filling it.

Crust recipe from last week:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Mix your dry ingredients together and then add in your wet ingredients and beat them together until they become dough.  Then roll out the dough and line your pie pan.  Then make another pie crust if you want to cover the top as well.  I added cinnamon to the sugar this week to give the crust a bit more of the flavor from the pie.  You could also try adding chocolate powder to the top crust and cinnamon sugar to the bottom to really combine the flavors.

For the pie.

  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips
  • 1 bag of milk chocolate chips
  • As many of your favorite apples as you want
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Your favorite preserves or filling (without the apples).

Take your apples and peel them then slice them into slices with your apple slicer.  Now place your apple slices into a large plastic bag or a mixing bowl and add in as much sugar and cinnamon as you want with your preserves or filling.  Now mix them all together and place the bag or bowl on a counter.  Now, take the pie crust that is in your pie pan and line it up with the white chocolate and milk chocolate chips.  Once the chocolate chips are in the pie crust slowly pour your apples over them so they stay above the chocolate chips and don’t move them up.  (You want to try and get the chocolate chips to form a nice layer of chocolate underneath so keep the applies above them.)  Now place the second pie crust on top of the other one and bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees.  Then take the pie out and let it cool until it is back to room temperature or until the chocolate has began to harden and your pie sets.  Now you can add your favorite toppings like caramel, ice cream or even extra apple pieces.  Thank you again for reading and don’t forget to share this on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter and to buy an apron without using a coupon code to support this blog.

Cupcake Print Aprons & Strawberry Rhubarb Pies

Last week I decided it was time to make a pie and figure out the easiest way possible.  I searched online for the best possible recipes for easy to make crusts as well as fillings for a fruit pie and decided that I would take a tricky strawberry and rhubarb pie and make it as simple as possible.  I’m also excited that my cupcake print apron from Flirty Aprons also got here so I included it in the picture.   It’s the same cupcake apron from this post, and when my cupcake print apron finally came in the mail I was excited enough that I had to bake.  I have an amazing apple pie ready for you next week.  Anyways, I’ve already told you how much I love cupcake print aprons for baking and for showing off and unfortunately the picture with it laying flat doesn’t show how fabulous it actually is.  Flirty aprons also sent me a fabulous matching oven mit for the cupcake print apron they sent me.  Anyways, click the image or link below and you’ll be able to buy this same fabulous cupcake print apron and oven mit and please remeber to use FlirtyAprons.com Coupons apronsshop20 to save when you buy cupcake print aprons.

What I loved about baking in my new cupcake print apron is that it completely helped me to add love into my food.  When I was looking at the fun cupcake print on this apron I could help but smile.  I love how colorful it is, I love the trim and the red neck straps and yellow waist straps that tie into perfect bows.  Because you can tie the neck and waist straps to whatever length you would like, you can tie it to adjust the apron to fit your perfectly.  I also loved that the yellow waist straps on this cupcake print apron match the pockets on the front of the apron perfectly.  When my friends came over they smelled the pie instantly and more importantly I was still wearing the gift from Flirty Aprons and they all wanted to know where they can buy cupcake print aprons for themselves.  The pie and the fabulous cupcake print apron were both hits and I love my new favorite cupcake print apron to wear when I’m baking.  I’m actually wearing it right now while making the apple pie for next week.  Anyways, here is the easy to make and easy to do strawberry and rhubarb pie.

The first thing I did was find the easiest possible pie crust recipe on earth which turned out to be this one.  All it is is

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Then you just take your dry ingredients and throw them into a huge bowl, then mix in your wet ingredients and the easy to make pie crust is done in less than a minute.  You just have to mix it together so that it turns into dough.  Then roll it out and fit it to your pie pan.  I also did another one (which didn’t look as good because I messed up placing it on top of the pie before measuring it which you can see in the picture) and then you bake your pie in the oven on 400 for about 15 to 20 minutes.  If you brush a beaten egg on the top I think it would brown even more.  For the top crust, you could always add a bit of extra sugar or just place it on top of the pie to make the top crust a bit more sweet.

The filling.

For the pie filling I just mused everything up and left some strawberry chunks in for texture and then mixed in my favorite preserves and then got it to taste how I wanted, then threw it into the pie crust.  After that I placed the top crust on and put it in the oven.

The strawberry rhubarb pie was a huge hit.  It was sweet, tart and the crust was perfect for it.  I loved the recipe and everyone loved my cupcake print apron and I told them all to come here, click on my link to buy cupcake print aprons and also to use the coupon code apronsshop20 to save until 9/30 on cupcake print aprons at one of my favorite apron shops.
