Garlic & Rosemary Bone in Ribeye Steaks & Matching Aprons

This is probably the easiest recipe for a bone in ribeye roast that tastes and looks like a professional chef made it.  It is just 5 ingredients and then you throw it in the oven.  There is no real work and no need to worry about it.

  • 1 bone in ribeye roast
  • 1/2 tablespoon of fresh rosemary per 1/2 pound
  • sea salt
  • pepper
  • chopped garlic
  • extra virgin olive oil

To cook a bone in ribroast:

  1. marinate the ribroast for 24 hours
  2. cook at 450 for 15 minutes
  3. lower heat to 350 and cook 15 minutes per 1/2 pound
  4. tent and let sit for 15 minutes
  5. slice and serve

The other day I remembered something I had a long time ago for Thanksgiving, a bone in ribeye steak cooked slowly in the oven. It was one of the most simple things to cook and that time I didn’t even have or use a meat thermometer. Because it was good and I had a friend coming in from out of town, I decided to try this again.

The recipe was from memory and the person who told it to me was the person at the meat counter at Wholefoods. It is 5 ingredients and you’re done. You can serve this garlic and rosemary bone in ribeye with garlic and rosemary roasted potatoes and 4 cheese, garlic and rosemary stuffed mushrooms. Your house will smell amazing and no one will actually mind all of the garlic or rosemary because of the other flavors that you used.how-to-cook-a-bone-in-ribroast
