My Delicious California Fig Pizza Recipe

Here is what most of you are waiting for.  My brand new recipe for a sweet and delicious summer pizza made from figs, vinegar, cheese and everything else amazing!  Get ready because you will not be able to resist and 3rd, 4th or even 6th slice of this one.

What you will need:

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Ground pepper
  • Mozzerella cheese in a block or fresh buffalo
  • Ripe California figs
  • Fig infused balsamic vinegar
  • Sliced button mushrooms
  • Brown Kumata tomatoes
  • A think pizza crust
  • Chopped garlic

Pre-heat your oven to 425 degrees.  Now prepare your pizza crust so that it becomes a thin crust pizza.  Now take some oilve il and create a light coating over the majority of the crust.  Leave about half an inch from the edge all the way around.  Now sprinkle on sea salt and pepper.  Now chop your figs into quarter slices or 1/8 slices and lay them around the pizza.  Now slice your brown Kumata tomatoes and place the slices around the figs randomly on the pizza.  Now take the mushrooms and find some places to place them.  Now take your block or ball of mozzarella and slice it into thick strips and then break it into large chunks from the strips.  Now place the mozzarella chunks in between the other ingredients where you have space.   Now take your fig infused balsamic vinegar or glaze and pour it randomly around the pizza.  (It’s ok to go over the ingredients).  If you want a little more cheese, take a three cheese blend like romano, parmesan and asiago and lightly sprinkle it over the top of the pizza. Now place this in the oven until the cheese had melted then take it out and place it on the top rack of the oven under broil so the cheese can get a nice brown color.  This can happen naturally as well on the bottom or middle rack if you leave it in long enough but not over cook it.  Now take it out, slice it or let it cool then slice it and serve.  This pizza is amazing and everyone will love it.  It is sweet like a dessert but not too sweet to actually count as one.  The flavors are amazing together and everyone will want to know how you made it.  However, before you make it, don’t forget to order an apron through here so I can keep this blog running and bring you new fun and amazing recipes.
