Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Using a stand or hand mixer, combine the softened butter and sugar.
Mix in 1 egg at a time, then add the baking soda and salt.
Slowly mix in the buttermilk.
Add the bananas.
Gradually mix in the flour, one cup at a time.
Fill your greased or lined muffin tins.
Bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until golden brown.
